ERPNext & Frappe CRM · LinkedIn Lead Sync app

LinkedIn leads, straight into your ERPNext

Every LinkedIn Lead Gen Form response becomes a lead in ERPNext or Frappe CRM within minutes, with each answer mapped to the right field and no spreadsheet in between.

In short

The Savyant LinkedIn Lead Sync app brings LinkedIn Lead Gen Form responses into ERPNext and Frappe CRM automatically. You connect with secure OAuth, map each form question to a lead field by question ID, and leads arrive every 5, 10 or 15 minutes or within seconds by webhook. A stored LinkedIn response ID stops duplicates, unmapped answers are kept, and every run is recorded in a Sync Log. It is built and supported by Savyant Systems, an ERPNext implementation company.

The challenge

Hot leads, cold by the time you call

  • Download the spreadsheetLeads are exported from Campaign Manager.
  • Upload a day laterThe file is imported into the ERP by hand.
  • Call back lateThe prospect has already moved on.

Columns get mixed up on import, the same lead is imported twice, and answers are lost along the way.

How it works

From form to lead, untouched

  1. Form submittedA prospect fills in your Lead Gen Form on LinkedIn.
  2. Pulled via APIThe official Lead Sync API, on a schedule or by webhook.
  3. Answers mappedEach answer goes to a field by question ID.
  4. Duplicate checkThe LinkedIn response ID is compared first.
  5. Lead createdAn ERPNext Lead or a CRM Lead.

Secure OAuth: tokens are encrypted and are never written to the logs.

How it works

The process flow: connect, map, sync, monitor

The app has four steps. You connect LinkedIn once, map each form, let leads sync on a schedule or by webhook, and watch every run in a log.

STAGE 01

Connect

LinkedIn Lead Settings

  1. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from your LinkedIn app
  2. Add the Redirect URI shown in ERPNext to your LinkedIn app's authorized redirect URLs
  3. Click Connect LinkedIn and approve the secure OAuth consent. The scope used is r_marketing_leadgen_automation
  4. Tokens are encrypted and refreshed automatically, seven days before they expire
  5. Choose a default lead owner, and whether test leads are included
  6. Use Fetch Ad Accounts, then Fetch Lead Forms, to import every ad account and form

In the demo, the connection showed as Connected, and two live forms (Free Consultation and Manufacturing Demo) were imported from one ad account.

Connected in a few clicks, with the token status in view.

STAGE 02

Map

LinkedIn Lead Form

  1. Open a form to see every question with its Question ID
  2. Each question is pre-mapped to a lead field: first name, last name, email, mobile number, company name and job title
  3. Pick any other field from the Mapped To list, such as city or number of employees
  4. Your mapping is kept when the form changes on LinkedIn
  5. Answers are matched by question ID, never by position

In the demo, a Free Consultation form with 9 questions was mapped one row per question, with name, email, phone, company and job title pre-mapped.

STAGE 03

Sync

LinkedIn Lead Form sync settings

  1. Turn on Sync Enabled for the form
  2. Choose the background sync frequency: every 5, 10 or 15 minutes, per form
  3. Each run asks LinkedIn only for responses newer than the last run
  4. Click Sync Now for an instant pull
  5. A message shows the result, for example: Fetched 2, created 1, duplicate 1, failed 0
  6. For faster delivery, switch on the webhook so LinkedIn pushes each response in seconds

In the demo, 14 LinkedIn leads were synced in a day from 2 live forms.

Sync Now result in ERPNext showing fetched, created, duplicate and failed counts
Sync Now: a clear result after every pull.

STAGE 04

Monitor

LinkedIn Lead Sync Log

  1. Every run is recorded, whether it was scheduled, by webhook or manual
  2. The counts show fetched, created, duplicate and failed
  3. A partial run shows what was created and what failed, with the error
  4. Answers with no mapping are kept in the log, so nothing is lost
  5. Open any lead to see the stored LinkedIn Lead ID and Form ID

In the demo, a partial run fetched 3 responses and created 2. One failed because its phone number was not valid, and the reason was in the log.

See it on your own LinkedIn forms

A short call, then a demo on your data. No commitment.

The prospect's side

A form filled in seconds

Your prospect sees a sponsored post, opens a Lead Gen Form with their details already filled in, adds a phone number and clicks Submit.

  1. Sees your sponsored post on the LinkedIn feed
  2. Opens the lead form, with no website and no extra clicks
  3. Finds the details already filled in from the member profile
  4. Adds the phone number and clicks Submit. The response is saved on LinkedIn

The response then waits on LinkedIn until the next sync, or until the webhook delivers it.

Field mapping

Matched by question ID, nothing lost

No guessing by position: a phone number never lands in a name field.

  • By question IDEach answer follows its question ID, not its place in the form.
  • Unmapped answers are keptAn answer with no mapping, such as which system you use today, is saved in the Sync Log.
  • A phone number never lands in a name fieldThe mapping is fixed per question, so values stay in the right field.

In ERPNext

Ready for the first call

The lead appears in ERPNext or Frappe CRM with the answers already in the right fields.

  • A complete leadName, job title, company, email and phone are filled in, with the source set to LinkedIn.
  • Company detailsFor example Kaveri Polymers Pvt Ltd, Coimbatore, 51 to 200 employees.
  • Never imported twiceThe LinkedIn Lead ID and Form ID are stored on the lead.

Webhooks

Seconds, not minutes

For near-instant delivery, LinkedIn pushes each response to an HTTPS webhook on your site.

X-LI-Signature = hmac_sha256(body, client_secret)

  1. LinkedIn sends the response to your HTTPS webhook
  2. The signature is checked with an HMAC, so only genuine requests are accepted
  3. The lead is created in ERPNext within seconds

Questions

LinkedIn Lead Sync: common questions

  • Can LinkedIn leads go into ERPNext automatically?

Yes. The Savyant LinkedIn Lead Sync app pulls Lead Gen Form responses through the official LinkedIn Lead Sync API and creates a Lead in ERPNext or Frappe CRM, with no spreadsheet.

  • How fast do LinkedIn leads reach ERPNext?

On a schedule of 5, 10 or 15 minutes per form, or within seconds when you switch on the webhook. Sync Now pulls on demand.

  • Does it create duplicate leads?

No. The LinkedIn response ID is stored with every lead, so a response is never imported twice.

  • How are form answers matched to ERPNext fields?

By question ID. Each question is mapped to a lead field, and your mapping is kept when the form changes. Answers with no mapping are kept in the Sync Log.

  • Is it secure?

Yes. You connect with secure OAuth using your own LinkedIn app. Tokens are encrypted, refreshed automatically and never written to logs, and webhook requests are verified with an HMAC signature.

  • Does it work with Frappe CRM as well as ERPNext?

Yes. The lead is created as an ERPNext Lead or a CRM Lead, depending on your setup.

  • Can I see what was synced?

Yes. Every run is recorded in a Sync Log with the fetched, created, duplicate and failed counts, and any error.
